FOXBOROUGH, Mass. – The New England Revolution Academy continued its spring season last weekend as all five teams resumed their campaigns in New York City. The Under-19s, Under-17s, Under-15s, Under-14s, and Under-13s all traveled to Queens, N.Y. to face the Academy teams of New York City FC at Belson Stadium on Sunday, March 31.

All five Academy teams will return to action on Saturday, April 6 when they will return home to host Beachside SC at Gillette Stadium. The U-19s, U-17s, and U-15s recently traveled to Stamford, Conn. to face Beachside SC on March 24, and will play their second matchup against the club in just two weeks.

WEEKHIGHLIGHTS

• Midfielder Nicolas Firmino (Somerville, Mass.—2001) started and played 90 minutes in the U-19s’ 2-1 road win over New York City FC in Queens, N.Y.
• Midfielder Trevor Burns (Southborough, Mass.—2001) scored his third goal of the spring season in the U-19s’ 2-1 road win over New York City FC. Burns played 90 minutes in Sunday’s road test in Queens, N.Y.  
• Defender Nathan Metsack (Ashford, Conn.—2001) scored a game-winning goal in the 44^th minute of the U-19s’ 2-1 road win over New York City FC on Sunday, March 31.
• Goalkeeper Eliot Jones (New Britain, Conn.—2003) tallied a shutout in the U-17s’ 0-0 road draw with New York City FC on Sunday, March 31.
• Midfielder T.J. Liquori (Westfield, Mass.—2005) scored a 60^th-minute goal in the U-15s’ 2-2 road draw with New York City FC.   
• Forward Malcolm Fry (Groton, Mass.—2005) tallied a brace in the U-14s’ 2-2 road draw with New York City FC on Sunday, March 31. Fry responded to New York City’s opening goal with a 41^st-minute strike before tying the game with a 59^th-minute tally. The forward’s brace was his second in two games. 
• Defender Jacob Dounetos (Coventry, R.I.—2006) scored a goal in the U-13s’ 2-1 road loss against New York City FC on Sunday, March 31.
