Four Revolution players named to National Team rosters for November friendlies

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. – The New England Revolution's Juan Agudelo (USA), Kelyn Rowe (USA), Krisztián Németh (Hungary), and Zachary Herivaux (Haiti) have all been called in to their respective national teams for international friendlies during the November FIFA window.


Agudelo and Rowe, both of whom helped the U.S. Men's National Team raise the 2017 CONCACAF Gold Cup trophy, will rejoin the American squad for its upcoming away friendly against Portugal (Nov. 14). Németh returns to Hungary's national team for a pair of friendlies matches against Luxembourg (Nov. 9) and Costa Rica (Nov. 14). Herivaux continues to emerge on the international scene with Haiti and will look to build on his recent senior-level debut with games against Saudi Arabia (Nov. 10) and Equatorial Guinea (Nov. 14).


The U.S. Men's National Team's match against third-ranked Portugal at Estádio Dr. Magalhães Pessoa will kick off at 3:45 p.m. ET on Tuesday, Nov. 14. The contest will be broadcast nationally on FS1, UniMas, and UDN. The friendly marks the USMNT's seventh match against the 2016 European champions and the first time it has played in Portugal since 1990. The two nations have split the lifetime series, 2-2-2, dating back to 1978.

Agudelo, 24, earns his fourth national team call up of 2017. The forward made three appearances in the 2017 CONCACAF Gold Cup, helping the United States win the continental tournament for the first time since 2013. He was included in the USMNT's squad for its last four 2018 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers, and also participated in this year's January Camp, where he appeared in friendlies against Serbia and Jamaica. The Barnegat, N.J., native has 26 career caps with the United States, and submitted eight goals and one assist in 28 appearances for the Revolution in 2017.


Rowe, 25, receives his second career selection to the U.S. Men's National Team roster. The midfielder earned his first three international caps at the 2017 CONCACAF Gold Cup, where he registered a goal and an assist in the group stage. He also started and played 62 minutes in a friendly against Ghana on July 1, 2017. For the Revolution in 2017, Rowe recorded one goal and seven assists in 23 appearances despite missing nine matches with a knee injury.


Németh, 28, owns 30 caps and three goals for his international career. This marks his third call up since EURO 2016, where he made two appearances in the group stage, including one start and a substitute appearance against eventual champion Portugal. After joining New England during the secondary transfer window on Aug. 10, 2017, the GyÅ‘r native made six MLS appearances, with three starts, and contributed one goal and one assist. 


Herivaux, 21, recently debuted for Haiti's senior team in a friendly against Japan on Oct. 10, 2017. The Revolution Homegrown midfielder from Brookline, Mass. played 90 minutes and registered an assist in the 3-3 draw. With New England this season, he started two U.S. Open Cup games, scoring one goal, and made four additional appearances while on loan with San Antonio FC (USL).
