One night after their New England Revolution teammates pulled off a wild comeback win over the New York Red Bulls, both Matt Turner and Henry Kessler will play for continental bragging rights in one of international soccer's most heated rivalries as the U.S. Men's National Team meets Mexico in the 2021 Concacaf Gold Cup Final on Sunday evening.
Live coverage from Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas begins at 8 p.m. ET on TUDN and Univision, and 8:30 p.m. ET on FS1. Kickoff is slated for 9 p.m. ET.
Turner has been the backbone of the USMNT's run to the Final, going 5-0-0 while conceding just a single goal from the penalty spot in a 6-1 win over Martinique. Turner's other four starts have resulted in a quartet of 1-0 wins over Haiti, Canada, Jamaica, and Qatar. The 27-year-old goalkeeper put forth a Man of the Match performance in the Semifinal victory over Qatar, making a pair of otherworldly saves to keep the game scoreless in the first half.
Kessler, who joined the U.S. squad ahead of the knockout rounds as a medical replacement for Walker Zimmerman, has yet to appear and remains in search of his debut at the senior international level.
