RECENT FORM VS. NEW YORK CITY FC

The New England Revolution will visit New York City FC for an Eastern Conference battle on Saturday night at Yankee Stadium. It will be the 18th overall meeting in this series since NYCFC joined the league as an expansion side in 2015.

This is the second of three meetings between these sides in the 2021 regular season, and they will square off again in only two weeks on September 11 at Gillette Stadium. In their previous showdown on June 19 at Red Bull Arena, Matt Turner took home MLS Player of the Week honors as he made several highlight-reel stops in the Revs' 3-2 win.

NYCFC sits at fifth place in the East with 31 points, going 9-6-4 through 19 games. New York City FC’s scheduled game against the New York Red Bulls last weekend was postponed due to weather issues. However, looking beyond that, the squad from the Bronx has only dropped one game in their last seven matches, going 4-1-2.

Meanwhile, the Revs are riding the high of their nine-game unbeaten run, going 8-0-1 after adding another victory to their tally with a commanding 4-1 home win over FC Cincinnati this past weekend. As the Revs sit atop the league with 49 points, they will look to create even greater separation over fifth-place NYCFC in a six-point swing, which could come in handy as the season progresses since New York City has three games in hand on New England.

With the Revs aiming to extend their unbeaten run to double digits, this will be a road match that you don’t want to miss.

Overall Record vs. NYCFC: 8-5-4
Away Record vs. NYCFC: 4-3-2

Last Meeting at Gillette Stadium: Revs 0, NYCFC 0 (September 19, 2020)
Last Meeting at NYCFC (Red Bull Arena): Revs 3, NYCFC 2 (June 19, 2021)

As part of the club's commitment to C.H.A.N.G.E., Revolution players donned jerseys which featured C.H.A.N.G.E. patches during their match on Saturday, August 21, marking the club's first-ever Social Justice & Equity Night, Match for C.H.A.N.G.E. Now is your chance to bid on these one-of-kind Revolution jerseys and be a part of C.H.A.N.G.E.

All proceeds from the jersey auction will benefit the Mattapan Food & Fitness Coalition. SHOW YOUR COLORS

The Revs will be sporting "The Original," New England's primary kit designed as a nod to the club's original 1996 look. The sleek white stripe across the jersey echoes the angled stripes across the '96 kit, while the blue top is complemented by red shorts similar to those worn by the Revolution's first-ever squad.
