OUTSIDE THE BOOTH
Monday, May 24 | 12 p.m.
Brad Feldman and Charlie Davies hosted another installment of Outside the Booth on Monday afternoon as they recapped last weekend's win over the Red Bulls, and looked ahead to the squad's away game against FC Cincinnati on Saturday, May 29. The show, available on the Revolution's social channels, featured in-depth analysis and commentary, and callers voiced their opinions by calling in at 855-728-7500.
RECENT FORM VS. FC CINCINNATI
This will be just the third-ever match between the New England Revolution and FC Cincinnati, who joined MLS as an expansion side in 2019. However, this will be the first time these two teams meet at Cincinnati's brand new digs, TQL Stadium. Cincinnati's venue has only hosted one MLS game since opening on May 16, and the Revs will be the second-ever opposing team to play there.
These two sides haven't played since FC Cincinnati's first year in the league back in 2019 due to restricted regional travel caused by the pandemic in 2020. In their most recent meeting at FC Cincinnati, which dates back to July 2019, the Revs won 2-0, in the midst of their 11-game unbeaten run as head coach Bruce Arena began his reign with the squad.
FCC are coming off their first win of the 2021 campaign, defeating CF Montreal, 2-1, at DRV PNK Stadium last weekend. However, the Orange and Blue still sit at the bottom of the East with a record of 1-3-1 through fives games. Cincinnati have two games in hand on New England as the Revs sit atop the Eastern Conference, going 4-1-2 through seven games. New England will look to ride their momentum from a pair of home wins over the Columbus Crew and the New York Red Bulls as they head to TQL Stadium.
As the Revs seek to claim their first road victory of the season at FC Cincinnati, this will be a game that you don't want to miss.
Overall Record vs. FC Cincinnati: 1-1-0
Away Record vs. FC Cincinnati: 1-0-0
Last Meeting at Gillette Stadium: FC Cincinnati 2, Revs 0 (March 24, 2019)
Last Meeting in Cincinnati (Nippert Stadium): Revs 2, FC Cincinnati 0 (July 21, 2019)
