STAR WARS NIGHT
The Revolution will host their first-ever Star Wars Night against D.C. United on May 25, 2019. There will be special Star Wars match-day components incorporated into the night. The Revolution will have Star Wars characters featured in Fan Zone from 4:30 p.m. - 7:15 p.m. Additionally, the Gillette Stadium lighthouse will be lit up in neon lightsaber colors, Star Wars music will be included throughout the match, as well as clips featured on the Gillette Stadium digital boards in between stoppages of play, and R2D2 will also be presenting the match ball to the officials when they walk out of the tunnel.
The club will also distribute a limited quantity of "Jedi Knighton" bobbleheads.
"JEDI KNIGHTON" BOBBLEHEAD NIGHT
For the club's first official Star Wars Night, the "Jedi Knighton" bobblehead depicts the club's veteran goalkeeper clad in the famous brown Jedi robes with a glow-in-the-dark lightsaber. The bobbleheads will be given away at all Gillette Stadium gates upon entry while supplies last.
RECENT FORM VS. D.C. UNITED
This will be the 84th all-time meeting between the New England Revolution and D.C. United in all competitions, dating all the way back to the league's inaugural year in 1996.
Last season, home-field advantage played a significant role as both meetings finished with the hosts taking three points. This includes their battle at Gillette Stadium last June when the Revs took down D.C., 3-2.
The Revs are looking to continue building momentum under interim head coach Mike Lapper after taking four points in their past two games. As they look to continue this trend leading up to new sporting director Bruce Arena taking over the head coaching reins soon, it will be a game that you won't want to miss.
