RECENT FORM VS. HOUSTON DYNAMO FC

This has been a series dominated by New England for the past decade, with the Revs going 7-1-1 in nine meetings with the Dynamo since April 2014. The Revolution's only loss during that stretch, however, did come on their most recent visit to Shell Energy Stadium, where they suffered a 3-1 loss in September 2022. That was a rare road loss for the Revs in Houston, where they're 7-4-2 since the San Jose Earthquakes moved to Texas to become the Dynamo in 2006.

The Revs (9-17-4, 31 pts.) are still clinging to playoff hopes after this past weekend's 1-0 win over Nashville SC, powered by Brandon Bye's 86th-minute header and a three-save, shutout effort from goalkeeper Aljaž Ivačič. That result leaves the Revs six points back of the playoff places in the Eastern Conference with four games remaining, including a game in hand on each of the five teams between them and the final postseason spot.

Houston (13-9-9, 48 pts.) has already clinched a place in the playoffs, but with three games remaining the Dynamo are still perched precariously in the middle of the Western Conference. Ben Olsen's side finds itself just two points back of fourth place and homefield advantage in the first round of the postseason, but also just three points clear of 8th and 9th place, which would put the Dynamo into the single elimination wild card match. This past weekend's 1-0 loss in Seattle snapped Houston's five-game unbeaten run (3-0-2), though they are just 1-1-3 in their last five home games.

Following their midweek trip to Texas the Revs will return to Gillette Stadium to host their regular season home finale on Saturday night against D.C. United, before finishing the campaign with road games at Columbus and Miami.

SHOW YOUR COLORS

Wednesday night the Revolution will be wearing the "Boston Tea Party" kit, which will serve as the club's primary uniform for the 2024 and 2025 MLS seasons.

Inspired by Boston's proud history of positive defiance, the kit commemorates the recent 250th anniversary of the Boston Tea Party in December 1773. The shirt design is highlighted by red and white vertical waves on the jersey's front, which represent the ripples in the Boston Harbor made by East India Training Company's tea creates as the American revolutionaries emptied 45 tons of tea into the water.

The navy jersey features red shoulders with three white stripes, a throwback to earlier Revolution jerseys, paired with navy shorts and navy socks, featuring red and white striping on top.
