RECENT FORM VS. INTER MIAMI CF
These teams have split evenly their very brief history, each side winning twice in four previous meetings, once home and once on the road. Last year New England and Miami held serve at their home grounds, with Miami claiming a 3-2 win at DRV PNK Stadium in early April before the Revs grabbed a 2-0 victory at Gillette Stadium three weeks later.
The Revs (7-1-3, 24 pts.) will head to South Florida atop the Supporters' Shield standings and riding an eight-game unbeaten run in the league (5-0-3), having gotten off to the second-best start in club history through 11 games. That includes a 3-1-1 road record as the Revs are one of just three teams in all of MLS - along with St. Louis CITY SC and Minnesota United FC - to register three wins away from home at this point in the season. New England did suffer a rare loss on Tuesday night, however, bowing out in the U.S. Open Cup Round of 32 with a 1-0 loss to USL Championship side Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC at Gillette Stadium.
Miami (4-6-0, 12 pts.) are battling through a rollercoaster start to the campaign, having opened the year with back-to-back wins before suffering six straight losses, five of those by shutout. Phil Neville's side has recently turned a corner, however, once again putting together back-to-back wins over the Columbus Crew and Atlanta United FC in the league, while advancing to the U.S. Open Cup Round of 16 with a 1-0 win over the Charleston Battery on Tuesday night at DRV PNK Stadium.
Saturday night's visit to Fort Lauderdale continues the Revolution's travels, as they're currently in the midst of a stretch in which they'll play five of six league games away from home through May and early June.
Overall Record vs. Miami: 2-2-0
Away Record vs. Miami: 1-1-0
Last meeting at Gillette Stadium: Revs 2, Miami 0 (April 30, 2022)
