RECENT FORM VS. NEW YORK RED BULLS
This series is approaching a century of showdowns as Saturday night's meeting will be the 95th all-time between this pair of MLS originals. New England dropped both meetings last year to snap a string of three straight wins in the series, and that included a 2-1 loss at Red Bull Arena, where the Revs are just 2-11-2 against RBNY in all competitions. However, one of those two wins did come just two years ago in July 2021, when the Revs snatched a dramatic 3-2 victory.
The Revs (10-3-7, 37 pts.) will carry a seven-game unbeaten run (3-0-4) into the weekend after becoming the first visiting team to take a point home from TQL Stadium this past Saturday, grinding out a 2-2 draw with Shield leaders FC Cincinnati. Gustavo Bou factored into both goals, forcing an own goal before scoring his fourth of the season, and MLS All-Star Djordje Petrović made five saves to keep the Revs within seven points of the league leaders. The point was the Revolution's 13th from their travels this season (3-3-4), tied for third-most leaguewide.
The Red Bulls (5-7-8, 23 pts.) are coming off a 2-1 loss at the Columbus Crew and sit three points below the playoff line in the Eastern Conference as they've managed just one win from 10 road games. They've been solid at Red Bull Arena, however, going 4-2-4 on their home ground, including a 4-0 win over Atlanta United the last time out. Interim head coach Troy Lesesne has the Red Bulls playing a stingy style as their 20 goals against are third-fewest in MLS, but similarly their 18 goals scored are tied for second-fewest leaguewide.
Following this weekend's trip to New Jersey the Revs will come home for two games in four days against Atlanta United and D.C. United, before returning to Red Bull Arena for a second time in two weeks as they begin the Leagues Cup group stage.
Overall Record vs. Red Bulls: 40-34-20

Last meeting at Gillette Stadium: Red Bulls 1, Revs 0 (April 2, 2022)
Last meeting at Red Bull Arena: Red Bulls 2, Revs 1 (September 10, 2022)

SHOW YOUR COLORS
Saturday night the Revs will wear their brand new "Defiance" kit, which will serve as the team's community uniform for the 2023 and 2024 MLS seasons.
The "Defiance" kit features a white jersey and red shorts, with red socks and red trim along the shoulder and sleeves. The shirt's design is punctuated by a bold red "strikethrough" across the chest that embodies New England's famous spirit of positive defiance. Revolution is the ultimate act of defiance, and the club's new kit honors that resilient spirit that sparked the American Revolution, laid the foundation for our country, and has resonated throughout the New England region for centuries.
