SALUTE TO HEROES

Sunday night's game will be the Revolution's annual Salute to Heroes, as the club will honor military, police, fire, and first responders as a token of appreciation for keeping America safe on a daily basis. Highlighting the evening's activities, Revolution players will wear special red, white, and blue jersey numbers, with the autographed, match-worn jerseys then put up for auction to benefit USO New England. The night will conclude with an Independence Day fireworks display following the end of the match.

Leading into the match on Thursday afternoon, Revolution players and Academy coaches will visit Hanscom Air Force Base for a soccer clinic with children of military families.

DRIVE SERIES PRESENTED BY DAN O'BRIEN AUTOMOTIVE GROUP

The New England Revolution Drive Series presented by Dan O'Brien Automotive Group will be collecting new and gently used soccer equipment on Sunday night, benefitting the United Heroes League, which helps military families heal, build friendships, and engage in their communities through sports.

Collections will begin at 5:30 p.m. and end 15 minutes after kickoff (approximately 7:45 p.m.), with collection locations at the CVS Health Gate, the Ticketmaster Gate, and between the E1 and E2 entrances. Everyone who makes a donation will receive a Revolution keychain courtesy of the New England Revolution Foundation and Dan O'Brien Automotive Group.

RECENT FORM VS. FC CINCINNATI

Sunday night's showdown will already be the third meeting between the Revs and FC Cincinnati this season, as the clubs met in a pair of different competitions just 10 days apart in mid-May. New England first claimed a 5-1 win over Cincinnati in a U.S. Open Cup clash on May 11 at Gillette Stadium, before heading to TQL Stadium on May 21 and getting a late goal from Tommy McNamara in a 3-2 triumph. Overall the Revs have won five straight against FCC since dropping the first-ever meeting in 2019.

Cincinnati have been much improved in 2022, however, and they begin the week above the playoff line in the Eastern Conference. They've had an impressive month of June with a 1-1 road draw against the first-place Philadelphia Union and a 1-0 home win over fifth-place Orlando City SC, and they'll close it out on Wednesday night when they welcome defending MLS Cup champions New York City FC to TQL Stadium.

New England, meanwhile, will carry a nine-game unbeaten run (4-0-5) into the weekend, having benefitted from Djordje Petrović's first MLS clean sheet in their 0-0 draw with Vancouver Whitecaps FC this past Sunday night. The Revs have gone 2-0-3 at home during that stretch and have climbed to sixth in the East, just three points back of second-place NYCFC entering the week.

Just one point separates the Revs (6-5-6, 24 pts.) and FCC (7-7-2, 23 pts.) in the East, making Sunday's showdown potentially important as the second half of the regular season schedule gets underway.

Overall Record vs. Cincinnati: 5-1-0
Home Record vs. Cincinnati: 2-1-0

Last meeting at Gillette Stadium: Revs 5, Cincinnati 1 (May 11, 2022) - U.S. Open Cup
Last meeting at TQL Stadium: Revs 3, Cincinnati 2 (May 21, 2022)

SHOW YOUR COLORS

The Revs will be sporting their new primary kit, “The Liberty.” The bespoke pattern is inspired by Boston’s Freedom Trail, a walking trail through the heart of Boston which passes 16 historical sites from the American Revolution – which gives a nod to the club name. This sleek new look will be paired with blue shorts, conveying a defiant, bold and strong look.

The club is reverting to blue shorts for the first time since 2013 to complement “The Liberty”. This is to convey a bold and strong one-color look, in-keeping with the New England’s defiant spirit while also enabling the new logo the chance to shine in its first time on a kit.

You can purchase “The Liberty” HERE.
