OPEN CUP HISTORY VS. NEW YORK RED BULLS
This will be the fifth all-time U.S. Open Cup meeting between long-standing MLS rivals the New England Revolution and New York Red Bulls.
These two sides most recently squared off in the U.S. Open Cup in 2017, when the Red Bulls defeated New England, 1-0, in the quarterfinals. Prior to that, they met in this competition in 2013 during the Fourth Round, when the Revs secured a 4-2 win.
Separately of the Red Bulls, the Revs are 20-16-6 through all 42 matches they've played to date in the U.S. Open Cup. New England most recently made a run to the final in 2016, but ultimately fell at the last hurdle to FC Dallas - the same club they defeated to lift the trophy for the first and only time in 2007.
Overall U.S. Open Cup Record vs. New York Red Bulls: 1-3-0
Last U.S. Open Cup Meeting: Red Bulls 1, Revs 0 (July 13, 2017 at Jordan Field, Harvard)

Traveling to see these rivals square off in the cup? Break out your blue kits!
The Revs will be sporting their sleek primary kits, which take inspiration from the Boston Minutemen, a North American Soccer League club that played in Foxboro's Schaefer Stadium in 1976.
While the primary kit typically features white shorts, the Revs will wear navy shorts and socks on Tuesday to better contrast with the New York Red Bulls.
You can get your own Revs primary jersey by visiting the Gillette Stadium Pro Shop, or clicking HERE.
