Djordje Petrović continues to make a name for himself just nine games into his MLS career, earning his second MLS Team of the Week nod following a three-save shutout performance in Saturday night's 0-0 draw with Toronto FC. Petrović has now registered three clean sheets in his last six appearances, all in scoreless draws against TFC, Vancouver, and Columbus.
All three saves against TFC denied Italy National Team midfielder Lorenzo Insigne, including a critical penalty stop in the 81st minute to secure a point for the Revolution. Petrović went full stretch to his right to get a strong hand on Insigne's effort, pushing it around the post.
Petrović and the Revs will be back on the road Saturday night when they'll visit Orlando City SC in another Eastern Conference six-pointer at Exploria Stadium. The ninth-place Revs (6-7-9, 27 pts.) and fifth-place Orlando (8-9-6, 30 pts.) are separated by just three points in the East, and kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m. on Saturday night with television coverage on TV38, myRITV (Rhode Island), and Cozi TV (Western Mass.).
