Despite playing the equivalent of just over half a season - 18 games - New England Revolution goalkeeper Djordje Petrović was named to his seventh MLS Team of the Week following Tuesday night's eight-save performance in Houston.
Petrović made four of those saves during the 71st minute alone, denying four different Dynamo players in the span of just 20 seconds, keeping the score 1-1 at the time.
That was after Petrović had already saved a first-half penalty from Sebastián Ferreira, the 22-year-old Serbian's league-leading fourth penalty save on the 12 attempts he has faced. Four penalty saves also ties the single-season club record also held by Ian Feuer (1998) and Jeff Causey (2000).
Petrović and the Revs will be back in action on Saturday night, hosting CF Montréal at Gillette Stadium in the penultimate home game of the 2022 regular season. Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m. ET (TICKETS) with pregame coverage beginning at 7 p.m. ET on TV38.
