FOXBOROUGH, Mass. – Krisztián Németh will provide New England Revolution head coach Brad Friedel with another attacking option ahead of Saturday night’s visit to the Houston Dynamo as the Hungarian forward returns from international duty.
Németh missed the Revs’ 2-2 draw with New York City FC last weekend while in Hungary for a pair of friendlies, appearing as a second-half substitute in losses to Kazakhstan and Scotland. The 29-year-old striker played a total of 77 minutes, scoring a stunning goal in the 3-2 defeat to Kazakhstan.
Németh has now registered four goals in 34 appearances for Hungary’s senior national team. He has one goal and one assist in seven appearances (three starts) with the Revs since joining last August, including one substitute appearance in the Revs’ 2-1 win over Colorado on March 10.
Saturday night’s meeting with the Dynamo will be televised on myTV38 and streamed live on revolutionsoccer.net, with kickoff set for 8:30 p.m. ET. The radio call can be heard on 98.5 The Sports Hub HD2 (English) and WMVX 1570 AM Nossa Radio USA (Portuguese).
