FOXBOROUGH, Mass. –New England Revolution II have signed midfielder Noble Okello ahead of the 2023 MLS NEXT Pro season. Okello, 22, joins New England’s second team after spending the 2023 preseason on trial with the club. The midfielder has 23 MLS appearances over four seasons, all with Toronto FC, and has been capped twice on the international level for his native Canada.
Okello originally signed as a Homegrown Player with Toronto FC on Jan. 22, 2019 after joining the club’s Academy in 2013. Prior to inking an MLS contract, Okello spent time playing with Toronto FC II in the USL Championship and also earned an invitation to train in Germany with the VfL Wolfsburg Under-19 squad. The midfielder made his first-team debut on Aug. 14, 2019 in the Canadian Championship, and earned his first MLS appearance on July 21, 2020 against New England in the ‘MLS is Back’ Tournament. On the international stage, Okello has made two appearances for the Canada Men’s National Team and has featured 12 times at various youth levels.
