New England Revolution winger Cristian Penilla burst onto the scene with a standout performance in last weekend's 2-2 draw with New York City FC, assisting on Juan Agudelo's second-half goal and registering three key passes. It was enough to earn the 26-year-old Ecuadoran his first-ever MLS Team of the Week honors.
Teammate Scott Caldwell was also recognized for his performance in central midfield, as he was named to the bench.
