MONTCLAIR, N.J. – The New England Revolution defeated the New York Red Bulls, 3-2, after extra time in the Fourth Round of the 2019 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup on Tuesday evening. Teal Bunbury recorded a brace, including an equalizer in the 85^th minute and the game-winning goal in extra time, and Juan Agudelo scored the quickest Open Cup goal in club history in the second minute. With the win, New England advances to the Round of 16 and extends its unbeaten run across all competitions to five games. The Revolution finished the match with 10 men, as midfielder Luis Caicedo was issued a second yellow card in second-half stoppage time.

Bunbury, who wore the captain's armband for the contest, scored the game-winning goal for a second straight match, having also scored the game winner on June 2 at LA Galaxy. The forward now owns six career U.S. Open Cup goals with New England, which ties him for second most in team history and brings him within one tally of tying Taylor Twellman's club record of seven.

Agudelo's goal marks his third in the team's last five games. It also clocks in as the quickest goal scored by a Revolution player across all competitions this season, and in New England's Open Cup history. The forward now owns three career goals in U.S. Open Cup play, which moves him into a tie with for fourth most in club history.

In net, goalkeeper Matt Turner made his U.S. Open Cup debut and submitted a four-save effort, including a penalty kick stop on New York's Alex Muyl in the 67^th minute.

New England returns to MLS action on Wednesday, June 26, when the club hosts the Philadelphia Union at Gillette Stadium. That match kicks off at 7:30 p.m. ET on NBC Sports Boston, 98.5 The Sports Hub, and in Portuguese on 1260 AM Nossa Radio.
