FOXBOROUGH, Mass. – The New England Revolution provide the best fan experience amongst Boston’s professional sports teams, according to a new study by J.D. Power.
The study (J.D. Power 2017 Fan Experience Study) measured fan satisfaction in seven key categories, in order of importance: seating area and game experience, security and ushers, leaving the game, arriving at the game, food and beverage, ticket purchase, and souvenirs and merchandise.
The Revs received a perfect five-star rating (considered “Among the Best”) in six of the seven categories, while they were given a four-star rating (“Better than Most”) in souvenirs and merchandise.
That easily gave the Revolution a five-star overall satisfaction rating, ranking them ahead of the second-place Boston Celtics, third-place Boston Red Sox, fourth-place Boston Bruins and fifth-place New England Patriots. Overall the Revs registered a score of 804 on a 1,000-point scale.
“We strive to provide our fans the best experience in New England whenever they come out to support the club,” said Revolution president Brian Bilello. “It is great to see the fans recognize that effort and we’ll continue to ensure they have best in class experiences every time they come to Gillette Stadium.”
Major League Soccer teams scored highest in five of the 11 markets studied (the Revs, Houston Dynamo, LA Galaxy, New York Red Bulls and Philadelphia Union), while the Chicago Fire, FC Dallas, and San Jose Earthquakes garnered the second-highest scores in their markets.
