It was a nice relaxing bye week for the Revs but they’re more than ready to get back on the field. “I was champing at the bit to get back on the pitch because we were on such a good roll,” Charlie Davies told ESPN FC. “I think that this weekend is going to be huge for us, to go into another bye week with another three points.” Familiar foe Houston comes to Gillette Stadium under new leadership with Owen Coyle at the helm.
Steve Neumann led the league in substitute appearances last year. This season he has a modest 82 minutes, but that hasn’t affected his attitude. Neumann told Bucks Local News, “you have to work harder at the pro level to keep your spot and to push for a starting spot”.
Charlie Davies wasn’t the only Revs player itching to get back on the field. Andrew Farrell told Prost Amerika, “Three days without soccer, it’s too long.” The Revolution are especially anxious to get back to action and extend their unbeaten streak to four games.
It’s going to be an exciting game on Saturday. CLEARLY the guys are champing at the bit to get back out there!
