FOXBOROUGH, Mass. – New England Revolution II has signed defender Victor Souza to an MLS NEXT Pro professional contract ahead of the 2023 season.
Souza, 21, joins New England’s second team after being selected 39th overall in the 2023 MLS SuperDraft last December, following his four-year career at nearby Boston College, where he made 48 starts and logged nearly 4,400 minutes played. The Ozone Park, N.Y. native played every minute for the Eagles in 2019, earning ACC All-Freshman honors. The central defender was named to the All-ACC Third Team in each of his last two collegiate seasons, earning an invitation to the 2023 MLS College Showcase last December.
With the addition of Souza, the Revolution II roster stands at 15 professional players entering the 2023 MLS NEXT Pro season.
