FOXBOROUGH, Mass. (March 6, 2024) – New England Revolution II have signed midfielder Luka Borovic to an MLS NEXT Pro professional contract ahead of the 2024 season.
Borovic, 18, joins Revolution II from Gracifar Belgrad U19, where he tallied one assist across 15 appearances in 2023. The six-foot central midfielder made two appearances with Red Star Belgrade U18 in the 2022 Viareggio Cup after playing in 28 matches with FK Partizan Belgrade U17 in 2021. Borovic also owns two international appearances with the Serbia U-15 National Team, playing the full 90 in matches against Bosnia and Montenegro in 2019.
New England has two more weeks of preseason training in Foxborough ahead of the 2024 MLS NEXT Pro season. Revolution II begins its regular season on March 24, hitting the road to take on Philadelphia Union II at 3 p.m. at Subaru Park, followed by its 2024 home opener at Gillette Stadium on Sunday, March 31 against Carolina Core FC.
