FOXBOROUGH, Mass. – New England Revolution II has signed forward Ryan Sierakowski (pronounced: sear-ah-COW-skee) to the USL League One roster ahead of the 2021 season.
Sierakowski, 23, is a graduate of Michigan State University and brings two years of USL Championship experience to Foxborough. Most recently, the forward suited up for Real Monarchs during the 2020 season, appearing in 14 games. Prior to his stint with Real Monarchs, Sierakowski spent parts of two seasons with Portland Timbers 2 after being drafted 23rd-overall by Portland in the 2019 MLS SuperDraft. The McHenry, Ill. native logged more than 2,200 minutes over 33 appearances for Timbers 2, recording eight goals and two assists while playing in four different positions.
Prior to his professional career, Sierakowski was a four-year starter at Michigan State, where he started 82 games and set the program record for most career points with 33 goals and 16 assists – averaging one point per game and became the first and only player to lead the Spartans in scoring for four consecutive years. Sierakowski totaled 7,184 minutes at MSU, where he was teammates with current Revolution defender DeJuan Jones for all four years, and helped guide the Spartans to a semifinal berth in the 2018 NCAA College Cup.
The 2021 USL League One regular season will begin on April 10 when Revolution II faces Fort Lauderdale CF to kick off the league schedule. Revolution II’s second season will feature a 28-game slate running through October and culminate in a six-team playoff to take place in November.
