Revolution II statement on USL League One season suspension

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. – The United Soccer League announced today the decision to suspend preseason activities and delay the start of the 2020 USL League One season by a minimum of two weeks, which will impact the Revolution II home games scheduled for March 28 and April 3. The entire Revolution organization supports this decision made in order to best protect the well-being of the club’s fans, players, coaches, and employees.


Revolution II matches impacted by this suspension will be rescheduled for dates yet to be determined. All tickets purchased for affected home games will be valid on the rescheduled dates. Additional updates on the Revolution II 2020 season will be shared at the appropriate time.

TAMPA, Fla. – The United Soccer League announced today the decision to suspend preseason activities and delay the start of the 2020 League One season by a minimum of two weeks.


“It was very clear from our Championship and League One owners that the health and safety of players, fans and staff was their top priority,” said USL CEO Alec Papadakis. “In consultation with local, state and national health authorities, as well as the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the Department of Homeland Security, we made the decision to delay the start of the League One season by a minimum of two weeks.”


When appropriate, the league will provide additional updates and very much appreciate the continued support of fans across the country.
