FOXBOROUGH, Mass. (May 4, 2023) – New England Revolution midfielder Dylan Borrero has been placed on the season-ending injury list following the left knee injury he sustained in the first half against FC Cincinnati on April 29. Borrero will undergo surgery in the coming weeks to repair a torn ACL.
In his second season with the Revolution, Borrero, 21, had made eight appearances with seven starts and recorded two goals with one assist for the first-place Revolution. Borrero, who owns three senior caps with the Colombia National Team, made 12 appearances with three goals and one helper last season after arriving in New England from Brazilian champions Clube Atlético Mineiro.
The New England Revolution (6-1-3; 21 pts. – 1st in Eastern Conference) will look to extend their seven-game unbeaten streak in league play when they travel to face Toronto FC (2-2-6; 12 pts. – 9th in Eastern Conference) on Saturday, May 6 at BMO Field. The match kicks off at 7:30 p.m. ET on MLS Season Pass on Apple TV in English, Spanish, and French.
