FOXBOROUGH, Mass. – Members of the New England Revolution will attend the Boston Children’s Hospital Eversource Walk for Kids on Sunday, June 14 in Somerville, Massachusetts at the Department of Conservation and Recreation’s Baxter Park. The trio of goalkeeper Brad Knighton as well as midfielders Scott Caldwell and Steve Neumann will spend time interacting with children and their families in the crafts tent, where there will be a series of fun activities for children including face painting, bubble making stations and much more. The Rev Girls are also scheduled to appear at the event.
More than 5,000 fundraisers are expected to participate in this year’s Eversource Walk for Kids, which will see walkers traverse the two-mile and seven-mile routes that start and finish in Baxter Park. The Walk for Kids is annually one of Boston Children’s biggest events, as fundraisers and their families come together to support the Hospital with a day full of activities, music, and food.
The seven-mile walk is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. with the two-mile walk starting an hour later. The three Revolution players will be on hand near the finish line from 11:30 a.m. until 1 p.m.
This year, the Walk for Kids is looking to raise $1.8 million to support the Children’s Fund – a fund created to specifically help the Boston Children’s Hospital’s areas of greatest need. The event has already raised over $1 million to help fund Boston Children’s continued pursuit of exceptional care and groundbreaking research.
