FOXBOROUGH, Mass. – The New England Revolution completed the 2016 MLS SuperDraft this afternoon by selecting forward Femi Hollinger-Janzen from Indiana University in the third round (51st overall). Hollinger-Janzen joins defender Jordan McCrary and forward Michael Gamble, who were selected in the first and second rounds respectively, in completing New England’s 2016 SuperDraft class. All three players are scheduled to arrive in Foxborough later this week for the start of preseason training ahead of the start of the 2016 MLS campaign.

Hollinger-Janzen played four years at Indiana University, tallying 22 goals and eight assists in 88 games. A member of Indiana’s 2012 NCAA College Cup winning team as a freshman, Hollinger-Janzen scored the game-winning goal in the semifinal victory over Creighton that year en route to earning a spot on the College Cup All-Tournament Team. He helped lead the Hoosiers to the NCAA Tournament in each of his four seasons with the team as well as a Big Ten championship as a junior in 2014, while earning First Team All-Big Ten honors in both his junior and senior seasons. He started 42 of his team’s games in those two seasons, setting career-highs with eight goals and five assists as well as three game-winning goals during his senior season. Originally born in Cotonou, Benin, Hollinger-Janzen moved to Indiana in 2000 and was named the state’s Gatorade Player of the Year in 2011.
