FOXBOROUGH, Mass. – New England Revolution II defender Ryan Spaulding has been named to 2021 USL League One All-League First Team, the league announced on Wednesday.
Spaulding, 23, played in all 28 games for Revolution II in his second season with the club. He scored three goals with one assist and recorded 26 key passes while producing the most “goals added” among fullbacks in the league (+5.88). Spaulding’s goals-added figure ranks 13th overall in USL League One. A resident of Cary, N.C., Spaulding finished the year with 51 interceptions, fourth most in League One.
In two seasons with Revolution II, Spaulding is the team’s all-time leader in games played (43), starts (39), and minutes played (3,492). The defender was named to USL League One Team of the Week on six occasions during the 2021 campaign.
The 2021 USL League One All-League Team was voted on by club management. The finalists for 2021 USL League One Awards will be announced on Thursday, with the Award Winners announced next week.
