FOXBOROUGH, Mass. – On Saturday, March 16, the New England Revolution’s youth teams went undefeated in matches played at South Central Premier in Bridgeport, Conn. Overall, the teams went a combined 2-0-1 as the Under-14s shut out South Central Premier, 5-0, while the Under-18s played to a 1-1 draw and the Under-16s earned a 3-2 victory.


UNDER-18s

The Under-18s earned a 1-1 draw against South Central Premier on Saturday. While the teams remained scoreless for much of the game, New England generated 23 shots overall. South Central Premier tallied first, with Dylan Hoy finishing a free kick opportunity. The Revs equalized in stoppage time, however, after Gabie Gissie (Worcester, Mass.) was brought down in the box. Dominik Machado (Attleboro, Mass.) stepped up and converted the penalty kick to make the final score 1-1. Now 8-2-2 (26 pts.), the U18s are second in the Northeast Division of the U.S. Soccer Development Academy’s East Conference with 2.17 points per game.


UNDER-16s

The Under-16s earned a 3-2 victory against South Central Premier on Saturday. Danny Apajee (Cranston, R.I.) put the Revs up early, combining with Trevor Davock (Medway, Mass.) in the second minute of play. Davock then scored a pair of goals – both on volleys – in the 20th and 23rd minutes to make it 3-0 going into halftime. Wes Turner (Newton, Mass.) and Zach Herivaux (Brookline, Mass.) were each credited with an assist. On the other side of the break, New England gave up a pair of late goals from Tim Spenser and Hayden Van Brewer, making the score 3-2 at the final whistle. With their 6-2-4 (22 pts.) record, the U16s are currently fourth in the Northeast Division of the U.S. Soccer Development Academy’s East Conference with 1.83 points per game.


UNDER-14s

The Under-14s topped South Central Premier, 5-0, on Saturday, improving their U.S. Club Soccer record to 8-5-2. Aaron James (Amherst, Mass.) scored a pair of goals and added an assist, while Daniel Jones (West Hartford, Conn.) scored a goal – the eventual game-winner – and added an assist. Other goal-scorers included Jack O’Brien (Milton, Mass.) and Travis Van Brewer (Wilbraham, Mass.). Santiago Cardona (Winthrop, Mass.), Matt Ranieri (Natick, Mass.) and Matt Uek (Westwood, Mass.) were also credited with assists.


All three youth teams return home on Saturday, March 23, when the U14s take on FC Westchester before the U18s and U16s host BW Gottschee at Durfee High School in Fall River, Mass.
