FOXBOROUGH, Mass. – On Saturday, Nov. 17, the New England Revolution’s Under-14 team faced BW Gottschee at the Aviator Sports and Events Center in Brooklyn, N.Y., falling 1-0 in the lone game of the weekend. Though the Under-18 and Under-16 teams were also set to play BW Gottschee on Saturday, an unexpected scheduling conflict caused the games to be postponed until the spring.
UNDER-14s
The Under-14s suffered a 1-0 loss to BW Gottschee on Saturday, giving up a goal in the eighth minute. A re-organized Revolution side then pushed for the equalizer in the second half, with Daniel Jones (W. Hartford, Conn.), Justin Rennicks (S. Hamilton, Mass.) and Aaron James (Amherst, Mass.) all creating chances. While New England registered seven shots, the team was ultimately unable to level the score.
Now 4-2-0 (12 pts.), the Revolution U14s are in sixth place in U.S. Club Soccer’s 20-team Northeast Pre-Academy League with 2.00 points per game.
The Under-18s and Under-16s will next take on Oakwood SC at Gillette Stadium on Saturday, Nov. 24. The U18s will kick off at 11 a.m., with the U16s following at 1:30 p.m. The U14s are off, but will return to action on Saturday, Dec. 1, with an away match at FC Westchester.
