FOXBOROUGH, Mass. – Six New England Revolution Academy players have been called in to the U.S. Youth National Team over the last week. Jack Anderson '03, Alejandro Coury '02, and Michael Tsicoulias '02 were called in to the Youth National Team's Futures Camp, which was held from May 26-30 in Carson, Calif. Eliot Jones '03, Morris Matthews '03, and Zach Sardi-Santos '03 have been called into the U.S. Under-14 National Team camp which is taking place in Zagreb, Croatia from May 31-June 10. All six players are first-year Revolution Academy players.
To improve U.S. Soccer’s longer term objectives for talent identification and individual development of young players, U.S. Soccer Director of Talent Identification Tony Lepore has called in the group of players for a four-day camp that will focus on identifying the most talented players in the ’02 and ’03 birth years. The roster consists of players who appear to be on a later physical development path and/or are born in the second half of the year, which serves to reduce the impact of physical maturity and relative age effect on identification and evaluation of talent.
Players taking part in this camp will be exposed to a hyper-focused curriculum formulated around highlighting each player’s unique talents while challenging them to improve decision making, increase speed of play, raise tactical awareness, and improve technical execution.
- Anderson, 14, has made 21 appearances, including 14 starts, at the Under-13 level this season. The outside back has been on the field for eight clean sheet performances. The Holyoke, Mass. native's opportunity with the Youth National Team camp is his first National Team experience.
- Coury, 14, has made 22 appearances, including 12 starts, with the Under-14s in 2016-17. The midfielder has contributed offensively, recording four goals to date on the season. Like Anderson, the Yarmouth, Maine native's time in the Youth National Team camp is his first National Team experience.

The Newton, Mass. native participated in the 2016 Futures Camp prior to joining the Revolution Academy.
U.S. Under-14 Boys’ National Team head coach Clint Peay named a 20-player roster for the team’s second training camp and first international training camp of the year, taking place from May 31-June 10 in Zagreb, Croatia.
During the camp, the U-14 BNT will play friendlies against Croatian club Dinamo Zagreb, Bosnia, and will twice face Croatia.
