FOXBOROUGH, Mass. – The New England Revolution (5-9-5; 20 pts.) fell to the New York Red Bulls (8-8-2, 26 pts.), 3-2, at Gillette Stadium on Wednesday evening. New England carried a 2-1 lead into the second half, but goals from Red Bulls forwards Daniel Royer and Gonzalo Verón in the 55th and 90th minutes, respectively, propelled New York to its first win in Foxborough since 2014.
Forward Teal Bunbury and midfielder Lee Nguyen were the goal scorers for the Revolution, with Bunbury opening his 2017 account in the 21st minute and Nguyen scoring his seventh – tying Juan Agudelo for the team lead – in the 26th minute.
Midfielder Diego Fagundez catalyzed the club's attack, recording his fifth assist of the season on Bunbury's goal to move into a tie with Pat Noonan for seventh place on the club's all-time assists chart (29). Fagundez, who missed New England's last match due to a red card suspension, led the team with four shots and added two shots on target, 62 touches, and one chance created.
New England will host the Red Bulls again next Thursday, July 13, in the 2017 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup Quarterfinals at Harvard University's Jordan Field. The match kicks off at 7:30 p.m. ET and will be streamed live on USSoccer.com and RevolutionSoccer.net. The Revs will then return to MLS action on Saturday, July 22 against the LA Galaxy, televised locally to Boston residents on NBC Boston and also on CSN New England, where Brad Feldman, Paul Mariner, and Naoko Funayama will have the call. Bunbury Opens 2017 MLS Account
- Forward Teal Bunbury registered his first MLS goal of the 2017 MLS regular season in the 11th minute of tonight's contest. Bunbury's most recent League goal prior to tonight was scored on Aug. 6, 2016 at Toronto.
- The goal was Bunbury's 30th career MLS goal, placing him alongside teammates Kei Kamara (90), Lee Nguyen (47), Juan Agudelo (39), and Diego Fagundez (38) as Revolution players to eclipse the 30-goal mark in their MLS careers.

Fagundez Climbs Club's All-Time Assist Chart
- Midfielder Diego Fagundez recorded the assist on Bunbury's goal after a spectacular solo that spanned nearly the length of the pitch. The assist was his fifth of the season, just two shy of his single-season high of seven assists set in 2013.
- The assist was the 29th of Fagundez's career, moving him into a tie with Pat Noonan for seventh place on the club's all-time list.
- With his next assist, Fagundez (38 goals, 29 assists) will become the fifth player in club history with at least 30 goals and 30 assists. Fellow midfielder Lee Nguyen (47 goals, 41 assists) is the only active Revs player currently in New England's 30/30 club.
Nguyen Buries Rebound Opportunity, Tied for Team Lead in Goals
- Midfielder Lee Nguyen tallied in the 26th minute of tonight's match for his seventh goal of the 2017 MLS regular season. Nguyen joins Atlanta United FC's Miguel Almirón (8 goals, 8 assists) and LA Galaxy's Romain Alessandrini (8 goals, 7 assists) as the only MLS players with at least seven goals and seven assists this season.
- Nguyen is now tied with teammate Juan Agudelo for the team lead in goals with seven and remains the club's leader with seven helpers on the year.

Revolution Make Three Changes to Starting XI

- Midfielder Kelyn Rowe and forward Juan Agudelo were unavailable for selection in tonight's match due to the duo being called up to the United States Men's National Team.
