FOXBOROUGH, Mass. – All five New England Revolution Academy teams returned to the pitch for a full slate of games against FC Greater Boston Bolts on Saturday, May 19. The U-19s, U-17s, and U-15s played matches at Cushing Field on the campus of UMass Lowell. Meanwhile, the U-14s and U-13s played matches at ForeKicks Marlborough in Marlborough, Mass.
All five Academy teams will be back on the pitch this weekend, as the U-19s, U-17s, and U-15s will travel with the first team to play friendlies against Vancouver Whitecaps FC on Friday, May 25. One day later, the U-14s and U-13s will travel to Queens, N.Y. for matches against Met Oval. All five teams will then play road contests in Epping, N.H. on Memorial Day, May 28, at Seacoast United.
WEEK HIGHLIGHTS
- Midfielder Trevor Burns '01 (Southborough, Mass.) registered three assists, while midfielder Nick Firmino '01 (Somerville, Mass.) tallied two goals for the U-19s in their 4-2 victory over FC Greater Boston Bolts.
- Forward Meny Silva '02 (Dorchester, Mass.) scored the lone goal for the U-17s in their 1-1 draw with FC Greater Boston Bolts.
- Defender Jack Anderson '03 (Holyoke, Mass.) scored his first goal of the season from the penalty spot in the U-15s' 3-2 loss to FC Greater Boston Bolts.
- Midfielder Marco Dos Santos '05 (Windham, N.H.) scored the game-winning goal, his 12th of the season for the U-13s in their 2-1 win over FC Greater Boston Bolts.
