Academy Update: Revolution youth teams combine to go 5-1-0 on the weekend

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. – All four New England Revolution Academy teams played in matches on the road this past weekend. The Under-18s and Under-16s travelled to Conshohocken, Pa for Saturday contests against Continental FC DELCO, then to Chester, Pa. for Sunday matches against the Philadelphia Union. The Under-14s and Under-13s each played one match this weekend, with both teams travelling to Epping, N.H. to take on Seacoast United on Saturday.


All four teams will host Beachside Soccer Club on Saturday, May 13. The U-16s and U-14s will then host New York City FC on Sunday, May 14.


WEEK HIGHLIGHTS

  • Forward Keel Brissett '02 (Amherst, Mass.) recorded a hat trick in the Under-14s' 3-1 win over Seacoast United. The first-year Academy player now has seven goals in 2016-17.
  • Forward Andy Chisholm '99 (North Attleborough, Mass.) registered his first goal and first assist with the Revolution Academy in the Under-18s' 3-1 victory over Continental FC DELCO. Also in that match, midfielder Joe Brito '99 (Bolton, Conn.) recorded a brace.
  • Goalkeepers Trey Miller '99 (Monson, Mass.) and Pat Quinn '00 (Manchester, N.H.) posted shutouts in their respective matches against the Philadelphia Union. Miller recorded six saves in the U-18s' 1-0 triumph, while Quinn stopped four shots in the U-16s' 1-0 victory.
  • Forwards Brandonn Bueno '04 (Framingham, Mass.) and Felipe Vieira '03 (Malden, Mass.) found the back of the net in the U-13s' 2-1 victory over Seacoast United. Both players now have 13 goals on the season.
  • Forward Michael Tsicoulias '02 (Newton, Mass.) scored his first goal at the Under-16 level while playing up an age group in the U-16s' 1-0 win over the Philadelphia Union.
