FOXBOROUGH, Mass. – The New England Revolution have loaned forward Edward Kizza to USL Championship club Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC for the remainder of the 2022 season after the second-year player was recalled from his loan with Memphis 901 FC earlier this month.
Kizza, New England’s first-round selection in the 2021 MLS SuperDraft, made 11 MLS appearances with one assist in his rookie season before joining Memphis 901 FC on loan for the 2022 campaign. The Kampala, Uganda native made eight appearances with Memphis before New England recalled his loan in July. Kizza, who scored 31 goals over three collegiate seasons at the University of Pittsburgh from 2017-19, joins a Riverhounds side that is battling for a playoff berth, currently sitting in fourth place in the USL Championship Eastern Conference.
New England (6-6-7; 25 pts.) return to MLS action this Saturday, July 16 against the Philadelphia Union at Subaru Park. The match kicks off at 7:30 p.m. ET and airs locally on WSBK-TV38, myRITV (Rhode Island), and CoziTV (Western Mass). The contest also airs on the radio via 98.5 The Sports Hub and 1260 AM Nossa Radio in Portuguese.
