FOXBOROUGH, Mass. – Gillette Stadium will host the U.S. National Team on July 10 as part of a doubleheader in the group stage of the 2015 CONCACAF Gold Cup. This will be the fifth time that Gillette Stadium and Foxborough, Mass. have hosted the Gold Cup since the stadium opened in 2002, having previously hosted a total of 18 matches in the 2003, 2005, 2007 and 2009 editions of the tournament.
The U.S. National Team game on July 10 will be the first time the U.S. plays in Foxborough since a June 2011 friendly against Spain and the first time that they will do so under the direction of Jurgen Klinsmann. Having played at Gillette Stadium every time that the Gold Cup has visited the venue, the U.S. is 6-0-2 in eight previous Gold Cup games at the stadium. All-time, the U.S. is 16-2-5 in Massachusetts, including a 9-2-2 record at Gillette Stadium.
The complete groups and schedule, including selection of dates and matches for the knockout round and the awarding of the Final, will be announced in 2015.
Special Revolution season and multi-game ticket packages that include the Gold Cup will go on sale early in 2015.
