After 16 years in MLS, goalkeeper Matt Reis hung up his cleats on Wednesday morning, announcing his retirement to a room filled with family, friends and former teammates. During his 11 years with the Revolution, Reis became a legend on the field and a hero off the field. The Revolution wasted no time filling the vacant goalkeeper spot on the roster, acquiring Brad Knighton from the Vancouver Whitecaps just minutes before the trade deadline.
