Welcome to February Junior Revs!
Only one more month until we see the New England Revolution back in action at Gillette Stadium! Will I be seeing you there on March 1? I am counting down the days until I can rep my heritage red and blue to cheer on the team alongside you all! Make sure you keep an eye out for some fun activities leading up to the home opener! The Revolution returns to MLS action this month on Feb. 22 in Nashville, so get excited and tune in to cheer on the squad!
As our roster rounds out, the team returns from Florida later this month where they completed some preseason friendly matches. Last month, in the first preseason match against Austin FC, the Revs came out on top with a 1-0 win after the 70 minutes were up!
Lastly, help me in welcoming some more new players! I'm happy to introduce some more guys from around the MLS, including Alex Bono, Tanner Beason, Wyatt Omsberg, Luis Diaz, and Maxi Urruti. Bono, a goalkeeper, joins us from D.C. United. Beason, a defender, comes from San Jose on the West Coast, while Omsberg, another defender, joins from Chicago (he’s also a native of Maine!). Diaz makes his return to MLS after a stint with Costa Rican club Deportivo Saprissa, and Urruti, a forward, comes to us from Austin FC.
The team is also welcoming some fresh faces to the Revs and MLS: rookie goalkeeper Donavan Parisian, young Ugandan midfielder Allan Oyirwoth, forward Ignatius Ganago, who’s on loan from FC Nantes, and Ilay Feingold, who strengthens our defense.
We’ve got some exciting updates on our homegrown players too! Noel Buck is back after his loan at Southampton FC, and Damario McIntosh has signed a first-team contract.
