FOXBOROUGH, Mass. – New England Revolution Academy player Justin Rennicks has been called in to the U.S. Under-18 National Team for an eight-day domestic training camp in Chula Vista, Calif. Rennicks is one of 23 players that has been called into the eight-day camp, which began on Saturday, April 23 and ends on Saturday, April 30.

"This is another great opportunity for Justin,” Revolution Director of Youth Development, Bryan Scales said. “These national team call-ups are never automatic, but Justin continues to put himself into contention for each camp with his steady progress."

A pacey forward, Rennicks has made 92 appearances in his four seasons with the Academy. The South Hamilton, Mass. native has scored 30 goals and added 22 assists since joining the Academy ahead of the 2012-13 season, including six goals and one assist in 16 appearances so far in the 2015-16 campaign. In February, Rennicks trained with the Revolution first team during preseason in Tucson, Ariz.

In his most recent call-up with the U.S. National Team, Rennicks played in three matches with the U-18s against San Lorenzo, Racing Club and Uruguay during training camp in Buenos Aires, Argentina in March 2016. In the U-18s’ second match of camp, Rennicks scored the game-winning goal against Racing Club, propelling the U-18s to a second-consecutive victory.

The 17-year-old has tallied either a goal or an assist in each National Team tournament he has taken part in, scoring for the U.S. U-16s at the 2015 Aegean Cup International Youth Tournament in January and recording an assist for the U-16s at the Netherlands International Tournament in March, before tallying another assist at the Open Nordic Cup with the U-18s in August.
