RECENT FORM VS. LOS ANGELES FC
This will be only the second-ever meeting between the New England Revolution and Los Angeles FC, and it will be their first-ever clash at Gillette Stadium since LAFC joined MLS as an expansion side just last year.
It will also be the first time that former Revolution midfielder Lee Nguyen returns to Foxborough since he was traded to Los Angeles in May 2018. Nguyen registered 51 goals and 49 assists in 191 regular-season appearances with the Revs, and added two goals and four assists in the postseason.
When these two sides kicked off last season at Banc of California Stadium, the Revs took home a hard-earned point from the West Coast in a 1-1 draw, as New England came from behind thanks to an 82nd-minute header from Brandon Bye.
However, this is a new season with different circumstances and higher stakes.
LAFC comfortably leads the Supporters' Shield race with 49 points, but they'll be visiting the Revs at Gillette Stadium, which is home to arguably the hottest team in MLS right now.
New England continues to light up the league as they extended their unbeaten streak to 11 games (7-0-4) last Saturday night with a 4-1 home win over Orlando City SC. It matches the club-record 11-game unbeaten run set at the start of the 2005 season, and with a win or draw on Saturday night against LAFC, the Revs would set a new record of 12 games unbeaten.
With all that's on the line, this is a must-watch showdown that you don't want to miss. (GET TICKETS)
