Brad Feldman and Charlie Davies are back for another installment of Outside the Booth presented by Dan O'Brien Automotive Group, as the Revolution's broadcast team will recap the match against Montreal and look ahead to Sunday's battle against D.C. United. The show, available on the Revolution's social channels, will feature in-depth analysis and commentary, and an interview with Revolution sporting director and head coach Bruce Arena, while callers can voice their opinions and ask questions by calling in at 855-728-7500.
RECENT FORM VS. MONTREAL IMPACT
It's been about two-and-a-half months since the New England Revolution and Montreal Impact squared off in the MLS is Back Tournament – a match that also counted towards the MLS regular-season standings – where the Revs took down the Canadian side 1-0 at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex. Gustavo Bou drove the game winner home in the 56th minute with an assist from Carles Gil.
Their upcoming midweek clash will be the third meeting between these two sides in 2020, as they also squared off in the season opener in February at Olympic Stadium. New England ultimately fell 2-1 to Montreal in that battle. Teal Bunbury’s early goal gave the Revs the initial lead in the game, however Montreal responded with a pair of goals to give the Canadian side the upper hand.
Montreal comes to Gillette Stadium after falling 4-1 to the Philadelphia Union, and have lost three of the last four games. Meanwhile, the Revs are coming off a scoreless draw at home against NYCFC, and are 1-1-1 in their previous three matches. To add to the intrigue, Montreal sits at sixth place in the East on 16 points, which is only one point ahead of the Revs in seventh place.
Heading into Wednesday's clash New England are hungry for their first win in Foxborough this season, and will look to accomplish that against Montreal.

KICK CHILDHOOD CANCER
The Revs will host their annual Kick Childhood Cancer game in conjunction with MLS WORKS when the Montreal Impact visit Foxborough on Wednesday evening. In recognition of September as Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, there will be special gold-themed match-day elements, including gold ribbons on the match ball, gold nets, gold corner flags, a special gold captain's armband and Kick Childhood Cancer ribbons on the jerseys.
While circumstances of COVID-19 mean players cannot make in-person visits to pediatric cancer patients in local hospitals, they are hosting virtual gatherings. In partnership with the Jessie Rees Foundation, which supports children and families fighting battles with cancer, Kelyn Rowe and Matt Turner will be hosting a virtual NEGU Crew meet and greet on Tuesday prior to the Kick Childhood Cancer game on Wednesday. There will also be cut-outs of these young patients, their families, as well as Rowe and Turner in the stands at Gillette Stadium during Wednesday's match to show they are together in spirit during the game.
The Revs will also host a virtual Bingo Night on September 30 in partnership with Hasbro Children's Hospital.
Fans can get involved virtually, too! For every person that supports this campaign by using #KickChildhoodCancer on social media channels, MLS will donate $1 to Children’s Oncology Group. Supporters can also share “Messages of Hope” to help inspire local pediatric cancer patients as they continue to fight against cancer. For every message of hope that uses the hashtag #KickChildhoodCancer, Continental Tire will donate $25 in celebration of the League’s milestone 25th season to fund pediatric cancer research (up to $50,000) during the month of September.

On Wednesday evening the Revs will be sporting "The Original," New England's primary kit designed as a nod to the club's original 1996 look, as Major League Soccer and the Revs continue their milestone 25th season. The sleek white stripe across the jersey echoes the angled stripes across the '96 kit, while the blue top is complemented by red shorts similar to those worn by the Revolution's first-ever squad.
