RECENT FORM VS. ATLANTA UNITED FC
The Revs have turned the tables on this series in recent years, going 3-0-1 in four meetings since the start of the 2021 season after going winless in the first seven meetings all-time (0-5-2). That turnaround includes a dramatic 2-1 victory in the most recent meeting last October at Gillette Stadium, where Gustavo Bou scored a late winner, and points from their last two trips to Mercedes-Benz Stadium (1-0-1).
New England (7-3-4, 25 pts.) followed up their first back-to-back losses of the season with a wild 3-3 draw against Chicago Fire FC this past weekend, staying unbeaten (4-0-3) in Foxborough. The Revs fell behind 2-0 in the early stages, but a Noel Buck stunner brought the hosts to life and leading goal scorer Bobby Wood had them level before halftime. Chicago took the lead once again in the latter stages, but Jozy Altidore came off the bench to score his first goal of the season and rescue a point for New England, who are aiming to keep pace in a crowded Eastern Conference.
Atlanta (6-4-5, 23 pts.) sits just behind New England in the East, and could leapfrog the Revs with a win on Wednesday night. The Five Stripes hit their first skid of the year in late April and early May, suffering three straight losses, but they've since rebounded with a modest three-game unbeaten run (1-0-2), including a 4-0 win over the Colorado Rapids in their last game at Mercedes-Benz Stadium. That's where Atlanta has been most dangerous this season, going 5-1-1 at home.
It'll be a busy week for the Revs, who'll briefly return to Foxborough following Wednesday night's game before immediately returning to the road for a Saturday afternoon visit to New York City FC.

Wednesday night the Revs will wear their brand new "Defiance" kit, which will serve as the team's community uniform for the 2023 and 2024 MLS seasons.
The "Defiance" kit features a white jersey and red shorts, with red socks and red trim along the shoulder and sleeves. The shirt's design is punctuated by a bold red "strikethrough" across the chest that embodies New England's famous spirit of positive defiance. Revolution is the ultimate act of defiance, and the club's new kit honors that resilient spirit that sparked the American Revolution, laid the foundation for our country, and has resonated throughout the New England region for centuries.
