RECENT FORM VS. COLORADO RAPIDS
The Revs and Rapids have been battling since Major League Soccer's inaugural season in 1996, but meetings have become few and far between as the league has expanded. These teams have met just once in the past four years and just nine times since 2012, with the Revs dominating during that time with a record of 7-2-0. That stretch includes two wins in the past three trips to Colorado, including a 2-1 victory on the last visit to Dick's Sporting Goods Park in 2019.
The Revs (13-5-9, 48 pts.) started their three-game road swing with another frustrating draw last weekend, this time at Allianz Field in Minnesota. Carles Gil's team-leading eighth goal of the season - assisted by younger brother Nacho - had the Revs in front until the 93rd minute, when they conceded an equalizer to substitute Franco Fragapane, the second straight game in which the Revs saw a lead slip away with the final kick of the game. Despite the ending, New England remains second in the Eastern Conference with seven games left on the schedule, and they'll be led by interim head coach Richie Williams as sporting director and head coach Bruce Arena announced his resignation following the game on Saturday night.
Colorado (3-13-10, 19 pts.) sits at the foot of the MLS table with just three wins from 26 games and a league-low 16 goals scored, leading to the club parting ways with head coach Robin Fraser after parts of five seasons in charge. Assistant coach Chris Little has been named interim head coach and will be in charge for the first time when the Revs visit the Rapids on Saturday night. Despite their overall struggles the Rapids have managed to tighten things up defensively at Dick's Sporting Goods Park, where they're unbeaten in their last five games (1-0-4) with a 2-1 win over FC Dallas and four 0-0 draws.
New England's three-game road swing wraps up next Saturday night in Chicago, before the Revs will return home to host Charlotte FC (September 30) and the Columbus Crew (October 4).
Overall Record vs. Colorado: 18-20-9

Last meeting at Gillette Stadium: Revs 1, Rapids 0 (October 27, 2021)

SHOW YOUR COLORS
Saturday night the Revs will wear their "Defiance" kit, which will serve as the team's community uniform for the 2023 and 2024 MLS seasons.
The "Defiance" kit features a white jersey and red shorts, with red socks and red trim along the shoulder and sleeves. The shirt's design is punctuated by a bold red "strikethrough" across the chest that embodies New England's famous spirit of positive defiance. Revolution is the ultimate act of defiance, and the club's new kit honors that resilient spirit that sparked the American Revolution, laid the foundation for our country, and has resonated throughout the New England region for centuries.
