RECENT FORM VS. NEW YORK RED BULLS
These MLS originals are closing in on 100 meetings in all competitions dating back to 1996, and homefield advantage has largely been the determining factor throughout the series history. Red Bull Arena has been a particularly difficult venue for the Revs since the building opened in 2010, with the visitors going just 2-12-2 there in all competitions, though that record does include a playoff victory in 2014 and a 0-0 draw in their most recent visit to RBA last July in the group stage of Leagues Cup. The Revs have found much more success at Gillette Stadium, including a 1-0 win over the Red Bulls last August courtesy of a Giacomo Vrioni goal.
It was a similar 1-0 win over Chicago Fire FC that got the Revs on track this past weekend, Tomás Chancalay scoring the game's only goal with a long-range rocket to secure New England's first three road points of the season. Goalkeeper Aljaž Ivačič was the other headliner, making a stunning save on a Xherdan Shaqiri free kick to keep the hosts off the board and claim a clean sheet on his Revolution debut. Now the Revs will be hoping that performance can be used as a catalyst to build momentum as the season pushes torwards the all-important summer months.
The Red Bulls, meanwhile, have hit a bit of a rut in recent weeks, puncuated by this past weekend's 6-2 loss at Inter Miami CF in which the visitors were on the end of a record-breaking performance from Lionel Messi (one goal, five assists). That result leaves the Red Bulls winless (0-1-3) in their last four as they've dropped to fourth in the Eastern Conference, though they do remain unbeaten (2-0-2) at home.
Saturday's visit to Red Bull Arena concludes a stretch in which the Revs will have played four out of five on the road, and they'll be looking forward to their return to Gillette Stadium for upcoming meetings with the Philadelphia Union (May 18) and New York City FC (May 25).
Overall Record vs. Red Bulls: 41-35-21
Away Record vs. Red Bulls: 12-27-11
Last meeting at Gillette Stadium: Revs 1, Red Bulls 0 (August 30, 2023)
Last meeting at Red Bull Arena: Red Bulls 2, Revs 1 (July 8, 2023)

Saturday night the Revs will wear their "Defiance" kit, which will serve as the team's community uniform once again for the 2024 MLS season.
The "Defiance" kit features a white jersey and red shorts, with red socks and red trim along the shoulder and sleeves. The shirt's design is punctuated by a bold red "strikethrough" across the chest that embodies New England's famous spirit of positive defiance. Revolution is the ultimate act of defiance, and the club's new kit honors that resilient spirit that sparked the American Revolution, laid the foundation for our country, and has resonated throughout the New England region for centuries.
