FIGHT CHILDHOOD CANCER NIGHT

As Childhood Cancer Awareness Month comes to an end, the Revs will host their annual Fight Childhood Cancer Night at Gillette Stadium this weekend, with several initiatives planned for Saturday night.

Most notably, the Revolution's game jerseys will feature custom numbers designed by 4-year-old pediatric cancer fighter Brock Nowicki. With the help of his mom, Melissa, Brock designed the numbers to feature everything that inspired his belief while undergoing cancer treatment. After the match, all game-worn jerseys will be autographed by the players and made available for auction, with all proceeds to benefit The Izzy Foundation.

Before the match kicks off, players will wear Fight Childhood Cancer tops during warmups, each featuring the name of a local pediatric cancer patient. At the conclusion of warmups, players will present their Fight Childhood Cancer tops to their respective pediatric cancer patients.

The evening will also feature several activations in Fan Zone, including from HEADstrong, Be The Match, A Shot for Life, and additional partners. The Shutterbugs gallery will also be set up in Fan Zone, featuring photos taken by local pediatric cancer patients at the Revolution's game against St. Louis CITY SC on September 7. The Shutterbugs photo experience is in partnership with the Pablove Foundation.

RECENT FORM VS. NASHVILLE SC

This will be the third meeting between New England and Nashville this season, with the Revs holding the upper hand thus far. Carles Gil and Esmir Bajraktarević were on the scoresheet and Aljaž Ivačič saved a second-half penalty in the Revolution's 2-1 road win over Nashville in MLS play on June 1, while Ivačič was again the hero on August 6 at Gillette Stadium, saving another penalty in the Revolution's shootout win after a 1-1 draw in the Leagues Cup group stage. In four previous meetings with Nashville in Foxborough, the Revs are an unbeaten 1-0-3 in all competitions.

New England (8-17-4, 28 pts.) have seen their playoff hopes take a serious hit in recent weeks, going winless in their last five games (0-3-2) to find themselves at the bottom of the Eastern Conference. Now eight points back of the final playoff place with five games remaining, Revolution head coach Caleb Porter said postgame after this past weekend's 4-0 loss to Charlotte FC that the focus now is playing for pride and building for the future.

Nashville (8-13-9, 33 pts.), meanwhile, have rekindled playoff hopes with their recent run of form, following up an eight-game losing streak that stretched from late June through the end of August with a three-game unbeaten run (2-0-1), most recently taking a point off FC Cincinnati with a 2-2 draw this past weekend at GEODIS Park. That stretch has seen Nashville climb to within three points of the playoff places in the East, though they'll need to get the job done away from home if they are to reach the postseason, with three of their final four games on the road.

The Revs will have a similar schedule to close the season, playing three of their final four games on the road after this weekend, beginning with next Wednesday night's visit to the Houston Dynamo.

Overall Record vs. Nashville SC: 2-2-4

SHOW YOUR COLORS

Saturday night the Revolution will be wearing the "Boston Tea Party" kit, which will serve as the club's primary uniform for the 2024 and 2025 MLS seasons.

Inspired by Boston's proud history of positive defiance, the kit commemorates the recent 250th anniversary of the Boston Tea Party in December 1773. The shirt design is highlighted by red and white vertical waves on the jersey's front, which represent the ripples in the Boston Harbor made by East India Training Company's tea creates as the American revolutionaries emptied 45 tons of tea into the water.

The navy jersey features red shoulders with three white stripes, a throwback to earlier Revolution jerseys, paired with navy shorts and navy socks, featuring red and white striping on top.
