Another brace, another MLS Team of the Week nod.
Just days after both Adam Buksa and Arnór Traustason landed on the MLS Team of the Week following two-goal performances in a New England Revolution win, teammate Gustavo Bou did the same, earning league-wide honors after scoring both goals in the Revs' 2-1 victory over CF Montréal on Sunday night.
Bou's first goal will make highlight reels around the world as the Argentine striker drilled a long-distance shot that shook the crossbar before settling into the back of the net. His second capped off a brilliant buildup as Maciel, Carles Gil, and Brandon Bye combined to set Bou up for a first-time finish.
With eight goals in his last nine appearances Bou is the hottest striker in MLS at the moment, and his nine goals overall are tied for third in the MLS Golden Boot race, just two behind league leader Raul Ruidiaz of Seattle.
