FOXBOROUGH, Mass. (April 19, 2024) – The Revolution Academy U-19, U-14, and U-13 teams continued the 2023-24 MLS NEXT season last weekend, hosting New York Soccer Club on Saturday at Harvard University.
The U-13s recorded their 13th clean sheet and 25th unbeaten match on Saturday, defeating New York Soccer Club, 5-0. Vaughn Scholz (2011 – Reading, Mass.) opened the scoring while Navayush Gurung (2011 – Medford, Mass.) recorded two goals and two assists in the match. Saturday’s win marked goalkeeper Charles Wallace’s (2010 – Burlington, V.T.) 11th clean sheet with New England during the 2023-24 season.
The U-14s earned a 1-0 victory over New York Soccer Club with Alex Gomes (2010 – Bridgewater, Mass.) tallying his fourth goal of the season to mark the game-winner. Goalkeeper Mason Yang (2010 – Windsor, Conn.) earned the start in net for his team’s 11th clean sheet of the year. Enzo Gonvcalves (2006 – Hyannis, Mass.) and Gabriel Chavez (2005 – Wethersfield, Conn.) each tallied their seventh goals of the season on Saturday in the U-19s 4-2 loss to New York Soccer Club.
The U-17s and U-15s are heading back to Florida to take on Orlando City SC Academy while the U-13s, U-14s, and U-19s remain in New England to take on Beachside and Boston Bolts. Click here to learn more about the New England Revolution Academy.
