FOXBOROUGH, Mass. – The New England Revolution Academy Under-18 and Under-16 teams hosted New York City FC last Saturday, while all five Academy teams welcomed Met Oval to Foxborough on Sunday.
The U-18s recorded a 3-1 win over New York City last Saturday, with Robert Nichols III (2007 – Milton, Mass.) registering one goal and two assists. Damario McIntosh (2007 – Newark, Calif), and Cristiano Carlos (2008 – Chicopee, Mass.) also scored in the weekend contest. On Sunday, the U-18s played Met Oval to a 2-2 draw. Javaun Mussenden (2007 – Dallas, Ga.) recorded the first goal for New England, while Aidan Reilly (2007 – Pembroke, Mass.) netted the equalizer.
The U-16s shut out New York City, 4-0, on Saturday. Forward Brandon Velez (2010 – Concord, Mass.) completed a brace, while Josh Macedo (2009 – Santa Clarita, Calif.) and Paolo Tornberg Ayala (2009 – Revere, Mass.) also tallied in the match. On Sunday, the U-16s dueled Met Oval to a scoreless draw. Goalkeeper Ryker Fauth (2009 – Milford, Mass.) secured his third clean sheet of the season.
Also on Sunday, the U-15s earned a 3-1 win over Met Oval. Arthur Bernadino (2011 – Shirley, Mass.), Lucas Pereira (2010 – East Merrimack, N.H.), and Shifaq Fazl (2010 – Branford, Conn.) each recorded a goal in the match, while Rikelme De Almeida (2011 – Easton, Mass.) provided New England’s lone assist.
The U-14s improved their record to 10-0-0 last weekend, after collecting a 4-1 victory over Met Oval on Sunday. Navayush Gurung (2011 – Medford, Mass.) converted an early penalty in the fifth minute, while Musah Adamu (2011 – Manchester, Conn.), Jeremiah Moyano (2011 – Wethersfield, Conn.), and Andrew Hsu (2011 – Boston, Mass.) also contributed to the scoring.
The U-13s battled the visitors to a 2-2 draw on Sunday. Sami Chao (2012 – New Bedford, Mass.) and Jayden Lefter (2012 – Milford, Mass.) both scored for New England, while Drake Roberts (2012 – Bedford, Mass.) registered an assist.
