On Sunday, April 13, recent Revs addition Daigo Kobayashi had the chance to meet members of the local Japanese community at a special luncheon. Hosted by the Japanese Association of Greater Boston, the event was held at Itadaki on Newbury Street.
Daigo met Akira Muto – the Consul General of Japan in Boston – who delivered a welcome speech to kick things off. The midfielder then mingled with party-goers and posed with fans for photos throughout the afternoon, including the restaurant’s Executive Chef Kaoru Fujishiro.
Another member of the Revs family also joined the festivities in Revolution Under-18 player Zach Herivaux, who is half Japanese and fluent in the language. View the photos below, or click here to view on flickr (best for mobile users).
