FOXBOROUGH, Mass. – The New England Revolution’s Under-18, Under-16 and Under-14 teams were back at Gillette Stadium on April 16, posting a 2-1-0 record over Seacoast United for the weekend. In addition, the U-14s played Oakwood Soccer Club to a scoreless draw on April 17.
WEEKEND HIGHLIGHTS
- Six different Revolution Academy players scored goals over the weekend.
- Gabriel Meirelles recorded a brace for the U-16s for the first time this season. He previously recorded a hat trick on Nov. 8 against Montreal. Meirelles now has nine goals on the season.
- Luis Blanco recorded a brace for the U-14s for the third time this season. He now has eight goals on the season.
- Blanco also recorded a pair of assists for the U-14s. It was the first time he’s posted a multi-assist performance, giving him five assists on the season.
- Both U-14 goalkeepers, Connel O’Brien and Bailey Monteiro, posted shutouts in each of the U-14s matches.
