Revolution Academy vs. Empire

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. – The New England Revolution’s Under-18, Under-16, and Under-14 teams were all back in action this weekend. The U-18s and U-16s travelled to Portland, Conn. to take on Oakwood Soccer Club on Saturday, May 7; while the U-14s played New York Soccer Club in Medway, Mass. on Sunday, May 8.


WEEKEND HIGHLIGHTS

  • Forward Andrew Barrowman (Marshfield, Mass.) scored his fifth goal of the season for the U-18s.
  • U-18 goalkeeper Bill Sinibaldi (Plaistow, N.H.) lowered his goals against average to 1.30.
  • Three different U-14 players found the back of the net last weekend. Defender Declan Sung (Newton, Mass.) recorded his second goal of the season, midfielder Trevor Burns (Southborough, Mass.) recorded his fourth goal of the season, and midfielder Kaoru Fujiwara (Lexington, Mass.) recoded his third goal of the season.
  • Forward Justin Rennicks (South Hamilton, Mass.) returned to the U-18s, making a substitute appearance, replacing forward Bryant Nardizzi (Framingham, Mass.) in the 55th minute. Rennicks was one of 23 players at the U.S. Under-18 National Team’s domestic training camp in Chula Vista. Calif. that took place April 23-30.
